Let’s catch up on the latest on the recruiting trail.

Dax Hill to Oklahoma is gaining more momentum, so have your Kleenex ready.

The five-star Booker T. Washington safety is now projected by 56 percent of 247Sports analysts as an OU lean after Andrew Ellis, who covers Ohio State, placed his vote in favor of the Sooners on Monday.

Hill visited Michigan over the weekend, and now his crystal ball is all over the place.

Hill’s teammate, Demarco Jones, said in an interview in mid-February that Hill had OSU among his top three schools, however there’s been a ton of Sooner momentum over the last month both from those who follow OU closely and from those who follow recruiting nationally.

Z’Core Brooks talks OSU offer

Oklahoma State recently extended an offer to class of 2019 defensive end Z’Core Brooks out of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. Brooks talked with 247Sports about what it meant and where his recruitment stands.

“It was my first offer,” Brooks said. “It meant a lot. It meant that they really cared. They want to see me get better, get bigger, and become a better person.”

Brooks also ran down his visit and his impression of Stillwater.

“I liked it. It was pretty cool. It was a small town, but it was kind of cool though. They just wanted me to get in and get with the nutritionist and get on a weight plan and everything. It was a lot. They see me with my hand on the dirt, maybe standing up too, I can do both.”

Brooks has offers from SMU, McNeese State, Purdue and UTSA to date.

Gunnell to OSU?

Rivals.com recently spoke with several Houston area prospects about where they see four-star QB Grant Gunnell landing in the wake of his Texas A&M decommitment.

The answers were definitely a mixed bag, with LSU being the heavy favorite among other prospects. But one recruit, teammate Jalen Curry, says he thinks Gunnell is Oklahoma State bound.

“He’s gonna get to sling that ball around a bunch and they’re going to take care of him – he’s going to be the man up there,” says Curry.

Houston area QB Jacob Zeno also placed his vote for Oklahoma State in regard to four-star Lake Travis receiver Garrett Wilson.

Wilson, a top-80 2019 recruit from Austin, has 31 offers and counting, including Texas, Ohio State and Oklahoma, among others.

Why? “The passing offense,” says Zeno.”

Wilson has plans to visit Oklahoma State in the near future but has not set a date for an unofficial visit.
