The Reload: Spring Break Brings Unofficial Visitors to Oklahoma State

Published

on

With spring break in full swing this week, Oklahoma State took advantage by bringing in a number of prospects for unofficial visits — including a few big bullies up front.

The headliner of the week came in the form of three-star offensive lineman Cole Birmingham of Katy, Texas. Birmingham made a visit and announced that, during the visit, he was extended a scholarship offer by the coaching staff.

Birmingham is a 6-4 tackle who weighs in at a stout 294 pounds, and a 2019 standout who already holds close to 20 scholarship offers. Baylor is the favorite in his 247Sports crystal ball; Rice, Kansas, Houston, and OSU are the big dogs in the mix.

Another big bully up front who made a visit this week is Class of 2020 offensive lineman Chad Lindberg. Lindberg, like Birmingham, is an offensive tackle. He was offered a scholarship by Oklahoma State staff last month.

Lindberg is a 6-foot-6, 305-pound prospect from League City, Texas, who already has double-digit offers. A first-team all-district selection as a sophomore, Arkansas, TCU, Baylor and a slew of others have already pushed their chips to the table for him.

The final big boy to note was an unofficial from Mansfield defensive tackle Enoch Jackson. Jackson, a former Stillwater native, was offered as a defensive tackle back in January.

It’s his second unofficial of the offseason, but his first to a school in Oklahoma.

Jackson is rated as a top-100 player in Texas and is a 6-foot, 290-pound run stuffer.

Other visitors and notes

• Oklahoma State made an offer to 2020 cornerback Ryan Frank of Magnolia West in Magnolia, Texas. It’s his first Division I offer.

• Cedar Hill defensive tackle Xavier Ross was offered a scholarship last week during an unofficial visit. FIU and Purdue are his only other offers to date. 6-3, 285 pound prospect.

• 2019 prospects Kacee Williams, Ryan O’Keefe, Nolan Matthews, John Hunter, Jayce Godley, and Dylan Cadwallader all made visits on Tuesday, per Greg Powers of 247Sports.

• Powers also reports that 2020 prospects Bryson Bonds, Money Parks (!!), Collin Sullivan, Jason Kerl, and Logan McDonald also visited Stillwater Tuesday.
