The Cowgirls rolled through the field at a multi-team event in Conway, Arkansas this past weekend, outscoring SIU, South Dakota State and Central Arkansas a combined 24-7.

The three wins move OSU to 8-4 on the season. Here are three takeaways from the Cowgirls’ time in Arkansas.

1. Rosie Davis Continues Hot Start

Rosie Davis batted in a third of runs the Cowgirls scored across the three games, having multiple RBIs in each contest. She hit .500 on the weekend and also had two runs scored.

She got things started with a 2-for-3 game against SIUE. With the bases loaded in the third, Davis doubled to right-center to clear them. That was her second hit of the inning, as she singled to start it and scored.

Davis had two more RBIs in the Cowgirls’ game against South Dakota State. The bases were again full for her in the sixth inning when she singled to score a pair.

She had three RBIs against Central Arkansas. She hit a solo home run in the first, her third round-tripper of the season. The bases were again loaded for Davis in the sixth when she got a single through the left side to score two.

She is so clutch with runners on base.

Davis is now hitting .382 in her sophomore season with a team-best .706 slugging percentage. Her .462 on-base percentage is second on the team among Cowgirls with at least five at-bats.

2. Ruby Meylan Takes Care of Business

All-American pitching transfer Ruby Meylan was dominant in 10 innings of work.

She started the Cowgirls’ game against SIUE, throwing all five innings and gave up a lone hit while striking out 10.

She came on in relief in the Central Arkansas game, inheriting two runners before working out of that jam with no runs allowed. She went on to pitch five innings, giving up no runs on one hit while walking one and striking out one.

So, while in Arkansas, Meylan gave up no runs off two hits while striking out 11 in those 10 innings.

Meylan is now 3-0 on the year, and her season ERA is down to a 2.06. She has 40 strikeouts and teams are hitting just .195 against her.

3. Megan Bloodworth Had Some Strong At-Bats

More known for her defensive abilities at shortstop, Megan Bloodworth had just six home runs in her first two seasons with the Cowgirls. Well, she hit two in Arkansas.

She fouled off three straight pitches in her first at-bat against SIUE before sending one over the fence to left-center. It was a solo shot but part of a two-RBI game for Bloodworth, as she had a sac fly in the third inning.

Bloodworth didn’t go yard against South Dakota State, but she scored a pair of runs off walks. She walked in the second inning before stealing second and third and scoring on a throwing error. In the sixth, Bloodworth earned a walk after a 10-pitch at-bat. She fouled off the first three pitches thrown her way before battling to the walk and later scoring on a Davis single.

She hit her second home run of the event in the fifth inning of the Central Arkansas game and did so after another 10-pitch at-bat. She fouled off seven pitches before getting ahold of one and sending it to center. She was 3-for-3 against the Bears with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Bloodworth hit below .200 in her first two seasons in Stillwater but has her average up to .318 through her first 22 at-bats of 2025. She’s also part of a base-stealing renaissance for OSU. She’s 5-for-5 on steal attempts while the Cowgirls are 24-for-26 as a whole. OSU stole 45 bases all of last season, so through 12 games this year the Cowgirls are already more than half way there.
