Top Hoops Targets Making Trip to OSU for Tulsa Game
Two of the top basketball prospects in the state of Oklahoma will be making their way to Stillwater on Thursday for unofficial visits.
Booker T. Washington wing Bryce Thompson and Putnam City West point guard Rondel Walker will be on campus Thursday when the Cowboys welcome the Golden Hurricane at Boone Pickens Stadium, according to a source.
Both Walker and Thompson are Class of 2020 recruits, and both have already landed scholarship offers from OSU head coach Mike Boynton.
Thompson is the son of former Tulsa standout Rod Thompson and is a standout on Oklahoma Run PWP, an AAU team coached by his father; Walker is a member of Team Griffin, Oklahoma’s Nike EYBL representative squad.
In addition to an offer from OSU, Thompson has also been offered scholarships from Texas A&M, Houston and Oklahoma. With his father’s connection to Bill Self (Rod played under Self while at TU), it will be interesting to see how it impacts his recruitment if Kansas jumps in the mix with an offer.
Walker’s lone offer is from Oklahoma State, however I fully expect that to change in the coming months.
