Travis Ford Does Not Expect Phil Forte to Return This Season

Phil Forte is likely going to get one more year of college basketball after injuring his elbow in the first month of the 2015-16 season. Travis Ford insinuated earlier this week that Forte would be out for the season and outright said it on Saturday.
“Phil Forte’s not gonna come back, I’m sure,” Ford told the Tulsa World. “That’d be my bet. He’s over six weeks since it happened. And he hasn’t been on the court yet. So I’m just trying to put two plus two together.”
Forte should be able to get a medical redshirt without any issues.
This obviously stinks but at this point Forte getting another year is probably best for everyone. Although I’m not sure next season will be any better.
