Tre Flowers Logs 4.45 40-Yard Dash at NFL Combine
The last of OSU’s NFL Scouting Combine invites went through drills on Monday. Tre Flowers participated as a Day 4 invitee with the rest of the defensive backs — and he turned an eye or two.
The rangy safety put up an impressive 40-yard dash time at 4.45 seconds.

That time tied for fifth fastest among safeties and landed the Cowboys’ leading tackler from last season among the top 15 in all DBs.
Flower also logged 18 repetitions in the bench presses on Sunday, good for top 20 among DBs.

These results, at best, solidify Flowers’ case for mid-round sleeper status and likely push him onto the radar for team looking for that hidden gem.
The Sporting News’ Bill Bender spoke with Flowers about his prep for the combine and what he’s improved on heading into this past weekend.
Flowers’ time at the NFL Scouting Combine has arrived, and he’s embracing this chance to move up. He put on weight, became a better tackler and improved his coverage skills. Now it’s time to show the scouts he can measure up. Sporting News
It appears that, at worst, Flowers has successfully checked those boxes.
