Tylan Wallace Named to 2020 Biletnikoff Preseason Watch List
More watch lists.
The Cowboys’ offensive triplets are three for three on preseason award watch lists.
Tylan Wallace is one of 55 pass catchers on the preseason Biletnikoff preseason watch list. Earlier in the week, Spencer Sanders was named to the Davey O’Brien watch list, and Chuba Hubbard was named on the Doak Walker watch list.
Wallace, entering his senior season at Oklahoma State, was a finalist for the award in 2018, an award that went to Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy. Wallace was on track to make a return appearance as a finalist in 2019 before he tore his ACL.
In total, five Big 12 players made the Biletnikoff watch list. Iowa State’s Charlie Kolar, Kansas’ Andrew Parchment, Oklahoma’s Charleston Rambo and Baylor’s Tyquan Thorton join Wallace on the list. LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase won the award last season, and he returns to Baton Rouge for his junior year and is also on the 2020 watch list.
Wallace has appeared in 21 games in the past two seasons for the Pokes. In that span, he has caught 139 passes for 2,394 yards and 20 touchdowns. In the nine games he played in as a junior, Wallace had more than 100 receiving yards in four of them.
As a sophomore in 2018, Wallace had two games of 200+ receiving yards, and those games were two of OSU’s biggest that year: Oklahoma and Texas.
Semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award are scheduled to be announced Nov. 16 with finalists being named Nov. 23. The winner will be announced Dec. 10.
