Watch: Mike Gundy Big 12 Press Conference

FRISCO, Tex. — Mike Gundy spoke to the media on Tuesday at Big 12 Media Days and, as he’s been over the last year, was tremendous. He riffed on how much his mullet is worth to the university (in the millions), said James Washington has “only scratched the surface” and called the Oklahoman’s Berry Tramel his “homeboy.”

Gundy knows his Cowboys are in the driver’s seat, and he opened with optimism about not only the present but the future as well.

“It’s an exciting time for all of us,” said Gundy. “I was thinking flying down this morning just how we evolved at Oklahoma State and the culture that we’ve created with the young men and how fun it is for myself and our staff, the guys that were on the plane. They’ve been such great leaders for us. We’ve evolved into something really special at Oklahoma State.”
