2019 Blue-Chip QB Trending Away From Oklahoma State, Leaning Ohio State
Oklahoma State was trending fast and furious for the services four-star 2019 QB Grant Gunnell just three weeks ago. Now it seems another OSU, Ohio State, has overtaken the Pokes’ momentum.
According to Gunnell’s latest 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions, the Buckeyes have garnered seven of the last eight predictions in his crystal ball as experts now project Ohio State to be the landing spot for the former Texas A&M commit.
Here’s a look at recent guesses from those who have followed his recruitment closely. The momentum comes just days after Gunnell made an unofficial visit to Columbus and got a personal recruiting pitch from head coach Urban Meyer.

Recruiting is nothing if not wildly unpredictable. Three weeks ago, it appeared Oklahoma State was the odds-on favorite to be the landing spot for Gunnell, who committed to Texas A&M and remained that way for months before Jimbo Fisher and A&M went a different direction.
That means that while Urban Meyer and Ohio State may be trending, the Buckeyes may not be a lock yet. A lot can happen in the lead-up to December’s early signing period, and until Oklahoma State gets its man, I expect the coaching staff to continue pursuing Gunnell.
