Weather Update: Cold and Possibly Rainy or Sleeting in Ames on Saturday
Ames, Iowa in November. There are better places.
On Saturday, Oklahoma State will try and keep its dim hopes for the Big 12 title game alive with a win over suddenly-good Iowa State. The weather will not be in the Cowboys’ favor. It’s supposed to be in the 30s around game time with a decent chance for rain (or sleet?) throughout.
Here’s a look at the hourly forecast. The game starts at 11 a.m.
This is temperature, wind chill, chance of precipitation, humidity and wind in order.

Bring all the gloves for Mason Rudolph. He’ll need them. And prepare yourself for 65 carries from Justice Hill (and 1-2 from J.D. King).
Iowa State is ranked No. 32 nationally in yards per carry on defense at 3.72, and by my count, probably have the second-best defense in the Big 12 (behind Texas).
Here’s a look at what each team they have played was expected to score against them based on those offenses’ points per drive average and the number of drives they got. No team has reached its expected output yet, and only OU and Texas got all that close.
Gulp. OSU could be in for a fistfight in Ames.
