Cowboy QB Commit Spencer Sanders Throws for 5 TDs, Keeps Denton Ryan Unbeaten
No Denton Ryan football highlight is complete without Oklahoma State QB pledge Spencer Sanders’ fingerprints all over it.
That was again the case on Saturday as Sanders tossed for 5 touchdowns and 267 yards in a 49-28 playoff win over Lubbock Monterey to keep his Denton Ryan Raiders unbeaten with a perfect 13-0 record.
“I don’t think you can stop them. You’ve just got to hope to slow them down,” Lubbock Monterey coach Wayne Hutchinson told TexasHSFootball.com. “We didn’t do either.”
Sanders connected on touchdown passes of 15, 45, 19, 29 and 31 yards en route to a win that sends them to the regional finals against unbeaten Lubbock Coronado on Saturday at 2 p.m.
