North Richland Hills Linebacker Commits to Oklahoma Over Oklahoma State
Four-star outside linebacker DaShaun White had long been wavering on his commitment to Texas A&M dating back to Kevin Sumlin’s ouster and backed away from his pledge on Saturday.
The North Richland Hills product had his wandering eye in the direction of OSU, Texas and OU among potential landing spots, and on Saturday he made it official by flipping his commitment from the Aggies to the Sooners. Once again, it leaves OSU on the outside looking in for a premier linebacker whom the Pokes pursued for months on end.
White made numerous trips to Stillwater and, despite OSU desperate to land an outside-backer who could compete for a spot early, the rival Sooners used Baker Mayfield to help sway him and it was over — just as I anticipated months ago.

So what does this mean? For Oklahoma, it gives them their 12th four-star pledge for the class of 2018. And for Oklahoma State, it leaves the staff still in search of a player to fill an open void at OLB for 2018.
With all indications pointing to former UGA pledge Aaron Brule leaning heavily in the direction of TCU over OSU as he nears a decision, it could mean that the Pokes — who are bringing in just one outside-backer for 2018 in converted safety Kolby Peel — might not take one altogether and instead will make it a priority for 2019.
