Tylan Wallace, LD Brown Among Oklahoma State Players with New Numbers
The 2018 spring football roster is out, and Kyle Boone recently did a breakdown on what he noticed. I wanted to do a far less important uniform analysis of which players got new numbers (freshmen) and which ones switched from last year.
Here are all the Oklahoma State players on the spring roster who are either new or received a new number after wearing something different in 2017.
| Number | Player | Position |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Tylan Wallace | WR |
| 7 | LD Brown | RB |
| 15 | Sean Michael Flanagan | S |
| 24 | Jarrick Bernard | S |
| 26 | Anthony Love | S |
| 32 | Malik Givens | WR |
| 33 | Ryan Haymaker | RB |
| 36 | Rhett Boles | WR |
| 36 | Dalton Dison | S |
| 45 | Blake Barron | LB |
| 48 | Adam Martin | LB |
| 61 | Grant Hill | Ol |
| 77 | Hunter Anthony | OL |
| 80 | Jake Ross | CW |
| 82 | Elden Coleman | WR |
| 89 | Jelani Woods | CW |
The most notable is probably Tylan Wallace rocking Mason’s old threads. This is good for multiple reasons. The first is that Wallace has the potential to live up to it and the second is that it keeps us from forgetting that Dru Brown (who wore No. 2 at Hawaii) is not in fact Mason Rudolph.
Other notes.
• LD Brown wearing No. 7 instead of No. 24 is ?
• I love Sean Michael Flanagan rocking No. 15. Seems ideal for a big-hitting safety (although I do love safeties, corners and DEs wearing single digits).
• There’s a Grant Hill on the roster!
• Jelani will look like he weighs 315 pounds in the number 89 (he also might actually weigh this much).
As freshmen start filing this summer we will update this list with the numbers for The Chosen One Spencer Sanders, CJ Moore and Co.
