Allen Defensive Tackle Jayden Jernigan Commits to Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State’s 2019 class has nearly doubled in size over the last week. Just two days after landing Xavier Ross, a defensive tackle from Cedar Hill who made commitment No. 6 for the cycle, Joe Bob Clements and the defensive line staff added another big man up front in Jayden Jernigan on Monday.
Jernigan, who joins the aforementioned Ross as well as defensive end Isreal Isuman-Hundley among those who committed to OSU this week, is a three-star prospect from Allen High School who picked the Pokes over Texas Tech, Washington, Oregon and a handful of other programs.
“I want to thank God for putting people in my life to help me stay on the path you have created,” Jernigan announced on Twitter. “I want to thank my parents, coaches, trainers, teammates and mentors for being an influential purpose in my life. Also, I would like to thank every school that recruited me. I am a COWBOY #GoPokes #PistolsFiring”
Jernigan is the seventh pledge of OSU’s 2019 class and the fourth (!!) defensive line prospect, joining defensive ends Kody Walterscheid and Isuman-Hundley, as well as defensive tackle Xavier Ross.
