2019 OL Taylor Miterko Makes Unofficial Visit to OSU
Fresh off a five-man offensive line haul in the 2018 recruiting cycle, coach Josh Henson remains relentless in his pursuit to improve the position.
Early returns in the 2019 cycle have yet to yield a commitment, but Henson’s pursuit of multiple prospects remain ongoing. In fact, he hosted 2019 lineman Taylor Miterko on an unofficial visit this past weekend along with his father, according to GoPokes.com.
Miterko is a 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Carlsbad, New Mexico.
“It was great, awesome to see it,” Miterko told 247Sports’ Robert Allen. “We were mostly with offensive line coach Josh Henson and we sat down with Coach (Mike) Gundy.”
Miterko told Allen that the unofficial visit is a precursor to a decision that could come as early as this summer, and he intends to take all five official visits in June before nailing down his college commitment.
As things stand now, 50 percent of 247Sports experts project Texas Tech as the landing spot for Miterko, while the other 50 percent project him to pick OSU (based off one crystal ball vote each by writers who cover the same respective school.)
Miterko has 18 listed offers to pick from before he makes a final decision. In addition to OSU and Texas Tech, Arizona State, Cal, Washington, Baylor and Oregon also figure to be contenders to land an official visit later this summer.
