Class of 2020 QB Deuce Hogan Set to Announce College Decision This Week
Weeks after landing its QB of the 2019 class in Brendan Costello, the Cowboy coaching staff will aim to shore up the position for 2020, too, with top target Deuce Hogan announcing he will make his commitment this week.
Hogan is a 6-4, 190-pound prospect from Grapevine, Texas. He’ll be picking between OSU, Iowa, Baylor, Iowa State, Colorado and Boston College.
‼️I will be announcing my future school THIS FRIDAY.. June 29th at 6 p.m. Central time‼️

Hogan is a three-star recruit valued by 247Sports as the No. 15 QB of the 2020 class and the No. 379 national prospect. As for his current landing spot, the Hawkeyes may have a slight edge because of their system.
“I started watching Iowa and kind of breaking them down coming out of my eighth-grade year because I knew that it was the right type of system for me to play in,” Hogan told 247Sports recently. “They are pro-style, and they play as a unit. They are always going to have a great defense and a great scheme. It’s not necessarily a ‘superstar’ place but they win games, and they play great football. Coach [Kirk] Ferentz and Coach O’Keefe are perennial winners, and they are as good as it comes in terms of building a man and a quarterback.”
Hogan visited Stillwater at the end of May on an unofficial basis and even posed for a pic with Gundy himself, but if he values a pro-style — or whatever it is Iowa calls an offense — then OSU may be on the outside looking in here heading into his decision on Friday.
