Oklahoma State Offers Five-Star Forward Jaemyn Brakefield
Oklahoma State extended a scholarship offer this week to five-star power forward Jaemyn Brakefield, a top-15 talent in the 2020 class. Brakefield is ranked as the No. 15 overall prospect nationally in his classification and the No. 3 player at his respective position.
He is a 6-8, 210-pound prospect from Huntington Prep.
Factoring in the commitment of the Boone twins, Oklahoma State is currently projected to be +1 over the scholarship limit in 2019 as things stand now. That may limit the staff’s ability to make a splash in the cycle (barring any transfers or departures), but it sets up for what could be a huge 2020 cycle. And OSU is making no attempt to hide its plans to swing for the fences. Brakefield is just the latest example of that.
OSU is also targeting in-state standouts Bryce Thompson, Davion Bradford and Rondel Walker in the 2020 class, as well as five-star prospect Isaiah Todd, who recently made an unofficial visit to OSU. Time to add Brakefield to what is shaping up to be a star-studded target list for OSU in 2020.
