Tulsa Transfer Jeriah Horne to Make College Decision Thursday
Will Horne go from T town to Stilly?
Thursday will be another step toward finding out who will fill the Cowboys’ final scholarship, and it could be the final step.
Tulsa transfer Jeriah Horne will announce where he is transferring on Thursday, his birthday, according to Rivals’ Eric Bossi. Horne has heard from a lot of schools including Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Dayton, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Xavier, according to Bossi.
Horne could be a prime target to fill the single scholarship OSU Mike Boynton has left with other names surrounding it being four-star forward JT Thor and four-star guard Donovan Williams, who will announce his college choice Monday, Purdue transfer Matt Haarms and Western Michigan transfer Michael Flowers.
Horne could fill the spot longtime starter Cameron McGriff leaves open after his graduation. A 6-foot-7, 222-pound power forward, Horne averaged 11.1 points and 5.2 rebounds for the Golden Hurricane last season.
Horne is a capable shooter, shooting a career 35.1% from 3 and 81.9% from the foul line.
Out of high school, Horne went to Nebraska before transferring to Tulsa after his freshman season. He is from Overland Park, Kansas, sharing a hometown with OSU center Yor Anei.
After recently adding Cal Baptist transfer Ferron Flavors, a shooting guard, it would make sense for OSU to use its final scholarship on a big man, be it Horne, Thor or Haarms.
