Oklahoma State Offers Rutgers Commit Albert Reese
Can OSU bag another Canadian?
It hasn’t taken long for Oklahoma State to be in a recruiting battle with former offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson.
OSU offered a scholarship to offensive tackle Albert Reese this weekend. Reese is committed to Rutgers, where Gleeson left for. Reese is listed at 6-foot-7, 295 pounds.
Reese will play for Clearwater Academy International next year in Florida, but he is originally out of Alberta, Canada, the same providence that provided OSU with Chuba Hubbard and Amen Ogbongbemiga.
I am extremely happy to receive an offer from Oklahoma State University! Thank you @CowboyFB @CoachGundy @Coach_Dickey @CoachLuceFB @CoachJesse18 #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/65F0bIrXlB

Others Involved
Well, Rutgers, of course.
Reese committed to Rutgers on May 25, but he has since announced offers from Ole Miss and OSU. His other Power Five offers are Syracuse, Iowa State, Kansas, West Virginia, Minnesota and Arizona State.
In the Rankings
Reese in currently unranked on 247Sports, but Rivals lists him as a three-star prospect. As the 2021 rankings continue to develop, Reese should be more solidified soon, especially with his handful of Power Five offers and with him moving to the states.
OSU at the Position
Reese is the 25th offensive lineman OSU has offered in the 2021 class, though the Cowboys have yet to land one for the cycle.
Given his frame, it’s likely that Reese would play his advertised position of tackle at the next level. OSU’s two expected starting tackles for the 2020 season (Teven Jenkins and Dylan Galloway) are both redshirt seniors.
In fact, four of the Cowboys expected O-line starters in 2020 will be seniors. Guys such as Bryce Bray, Hunter Woodard, Jacob Farrell, Tyrese Williams and Eli Russ provide OSU with a good, young core up front, but OSU needs to keep adding to it.
