Tomorrow – Pokes v. Cyclones
OSU Bullets
โข Dez Bryant finally landed a spot with an NFL team (practice squad)
โข This seemed to come out of nowhere – OSU president Burns Hargis retiring next summer
โข Four-star running back Cam Valdez moved up his commitment date and now he’s headed to Lubbock – John Wozniak needs to get on his horse and sign some dudes
โข A couple of pundit’s predictions about the OSU-Iowa State game seem to be headed in the same direction – towards a Big Ten-style game on Saturday in Stillwater:
…I expect that this will be a lower-scoring affair, and in that kind of game, I trust Iowa State more right now. They’re more accustomed to playing in those kinds of games. That’s not to say that Oklahoma State can’t blow the doors off this Cyclones team — it can! — but I don’t think that’s the most likely outcome.

You’ll see that same narrative here but the most popular takes on the game are this: bloodbath between the 30s or the Pokes run away with it.
Getting to Know the Pokes
โข Bob Allen profiles left tackle Jake Springfield’s rise up the depth chart – bonus: he talks about his playing days and gives some offensive linemen slang
โข Get to know Cowboy defensive lineman Sione Asi – who sounds to be the elder statesmen (the Daniel Bobik per se) of the Cowboy football team
โข Pretty cool video getting to know Alex Hale, the Cowboy’s perfect Aussie kicker:

“A 5-step process for nearly anything:
1) Explore widely. Find out what is possible.
2) Test cheaply. Run small, quick experiments. Sample things.
3) Edit ruthlessly. Focus on the best. Cut everything else.
4) Repeat what works. Don’t quit on a good idea.
5) Return to 1.”
