• Super fun moment yesterday when it was announced (with a terrific video) that Cowboy walk-on Dee Mitchell would be receiving a scholarship – the video is must watch.
• Mike Boynton offers an encouraging reminder on the “the process”:
“This is what ‘The Process’ looks like,” Boynton said. “It doesn’t always happen immediately. It’s not easy. It’s not fun. I want to win them all. I get it. I understand the frustration. But I also understand that what I see is our team getting better. I’m proud of them.”

• Brennan Presley made ESPN’s all-bowl team for his standout performance against Miami
• 2020 basketball recruit Montreal Pena is no longer with Cowboy Basketball
• How Cade Cunningham became a 6’8″ point guard
• Cowboy Wrestling took out a couple of mid-majors over the weekend
• When recruiting Rondel Walker, Mike Boynton often had to sit and wait for him to finish extra practice putting shots up. Basically, Rondel Walker is the next Keiton Page/Phil Forte, right?
The goal was 400-500 shots and 100 free throws.
“(Walker)’s a really committed and dedicated kid to try to be his best,” Boynton said. “And that’s just one example of why he’ll continue to get better.”

I like this take on feedback:
“The trick to viewing feedback as a gift is to be more worried about having blind spots than hearing about them.”
