Injury Report: Sanders a Game-Time Decision, Green, Brooks, Others Out
Sanders was sacked six times in Bedlam.
STILLWATER — The Cowboys’ regular season finale brings Dave Hunziker’s last scheduled injury report of the year, a welcome sight for Oklahoma State fans.
Spencer Sanders is a game-time decision for Oklahoma State’s tilt against West Virginia at 11 a.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium. Sanders played the better part of a quarter against Iowa State before playing the entire Bedlam game against Oklahoma, a game in which he was sacked six times.
Should Sanders not be able to go, the reins would be handed to either Garret Rangel or Gunnar Gundy, who have each started a game in Sanders’ absence this season.
Dominic Richardson is also considered a game-time decision. OSU’s starting running back, Richardson has been limited as of late and missed Bedlam entirely.
The list of contributors who won’t play Saturday is long — like it has been all season. Jaden Bray, Trace Ford, Tyler Lacy, Bryson Green, Thomas Harper and Jason Brooks are all expected to miss the game against the Mountaineers. But, OSU is expected to get freshman wide receiver Stephon Johnson back, which is good considering Green and Bray will miss the game.
Green is the only new injury. A sophomore out of Allen, Texas, Green is the Cowboys’ second-leading receiver this season with 584 yards and a team-best five touchdowns. That could lead to Johnson and Langston Anderson getting more run in Saturday’s game.
