Three-Time Grammy Award Winner Nelly To Preform at Big 12 Championship Game
It’s getting hot in here.
Nelly has performed at two Super Bowl halftime shows, and now he’ll perform for the Big 12.
The Big 12 announced Wednesday that Nelly will perform at halftime of the Big 12 Championship. Nelly is a three-time Grammy-award winner, known for hits like “Hot In Herre,” “Ride Wit Me,” “Grillz” and more.
“We are thrilled to announce Nelly will be joining our school’s marching bands to perform at the first-ever Big 12 Football Championship halftime show,” said Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark in the release. “The Big 12 is committed to living at the intersection of sports and culture and introducing Championship enhancements that are best in class.”
A nine-time Billboard Music Award winner, Nelly performed at the Super Bowl XXXV halftime show alongside Aerosmith, NSYNC, Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige. He returned for Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, performing with Janey Jackson, P. Diddy, Kid Rock, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Simpson.
The Big 12 Championship is scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in AT&T Stadium.
