OSU Bullets
• Jenni Carlson gives what appears to be an unbiased take about the Pokes: OSU may not be very good or South Alabama may be an outlier.
…(W)hat I saw Saturday night makes me believe this OSU team isn’t all that good. Perhaps getting dominated by South Alabama will be the wake-up call. Maybe we’ll look back in a month and see this loss as an outlier. Then again, this could be what these Cowboys are.

• Saturday’s game feels big for OSU’s bowl streak (PFB)
• Mike Gundy talked about how he wants a quarterback to win the job but isn’t sure it’ll happen:
“…I don’t think any of us are going to watch a game and see a guy just clearly run away because the other guys are playing pretty good, but there might be a guy that comes up to the top.”

• Iowa’s offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz will have his contract terminated if he doesn’t average 25 points per game this season after years of offensive stagnation.
For fun, I’ll be tracking Kasey Dunn’s own personal quest for 25 points per game. While his contract is not the same as Ferentz’s, landing in what would be the top 85 in points in the FBS feels like a good goal.
Current number: 34 points down, 291 to go assuming OSU makes a bowl game. The offense would need to average 29.1 points per game to land in the top 85 of last year’s scoring offenses.
• PFB Notebook – Preston Wilson made remarks to the team and addressed the drops (PFB)
• Cowboy big Isaiah Miranda pulled a Jason Keep in practice – and X/Twitter thought it was too violent to show:
• Sign the family and me up for a GIA tour before the game. Good idea, Seth:
Non-OSU Bullets
• This will not always be a thing
• Average age of each state – Oklahoma’s is one year older than me
