ESPN’s College GameDay Crew Unanimously Predicts an OSU Win over BYU
Lee Corso on the Cougars: “They’ll enjoy Eskimo Joe’s, but they’ll lose the game.”
The GameDay crew is in Ann Arbor for an Ohio State-Michigan matchup with Final Four implications. But the panel took some time to run through games around the country, including Oklahoma State’s regular-season finale against BYU — a game with its own Big 12 implications.
Desmond Howard said, “I like the Cowboys’ motivation. I love Ollie Gordon II. He’s tied for first in rushing yards with 1,414. I’m going with the Cowboys.”
Pat McAfee alluded to the crew’s trip to Utah and learning about the Latter-Day Saints, strangely, before picking the Cowboys to win and go to Arlington.
Celebrity guest picker, former Wolverine and Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson, also picked the Cowboys. “They’ve had a weird year, but they’ve had some big wins. And they’re playing them at home. I like Oklahoma State.”
Lee Corso liked that pick. “It’s BYU’s first trip to Stillwater. They’ll enjoy Eskimo Joe’s, but they’ll lose the game.”
Kirk Herbstreit agreed with Hutchinson, as well. “They’ve had an interesting year and it’s been a little bit of a rollercoaster ride for them, but here they are. They’re 60 minutes away from getting to the conference championship game. Nobody would have said that in August. Give Mike Gundy a lot of credit. They win today and go play Texas for the right to win a championship. It’s pretty cool.”
