NC State Transfer Catcher Amanda Hasler Commits to Oklahoma State
Hasler hit .351 this past season.
The Cowgirls snagged an All-American pitcher out of the transfer portal on Thursday night. Friday, they got her battery mate.
NC State transfer catcher Amanda Hasler committed to Oklahoma State. As a sophomore for the Wolfpack this past season, Hasler hit .351 at the dish with 18 home runs and a team-best 45 RBIs. It’s an extra big deal for OSU, as Caroline Wang — the Cowgirls starter behind the plate last season — exhausted her eligibility.
“Amanda is an elite athlete,” said Kenny Gajewski after Hasler’s signing. “She’s had tremendous success in her two years at North Carolina State. We have a position that needs depth, the catching spot became a major need and she was the best catcher in the portal. It made sense for us to go after her, and we feel like we’re a good match. She’s a hard worker, committed on the field and in the classroom, and seems like she’s a perfect fit for our program and the Cowgirl Way.”
New beginnings start now. #next2

Hasler started all 53 of NC State’s games at catcher this past season. She appeared in 52 games as a freshman in 2023, making 50 starts at catcher, where she became the second catcher in program history to call pitches. She hit .279 as a freshman, to go with nine home runs and 28 RBI.
Hasler hails from Avon, Connecticut, where she was an All-State selection. Extra Inning Softball listed Hasler as the No. 10 prospect in the 2022 class.
“I chose Oklahoma State for a multitude of reasons,” Hasler said in OSU’s release. “The coaching staff, academics and the environment. The OSU community made me feel like family. I am excited to play for Coach G because he’s the best in the business, and I’m excited to play in front of the best fans in the country.”
Hasler joins Ruby Meylan, the aforementioned All-American pitcher, as Cowgirl commits via the transfer portal this week. Meylan had a 2.55 ERA this past season at Washington.
The pair make for some solid additions for an OSU roster that was young this spring. Karli Godwin and Rosie Davis were both freshmen this past spring. Tallen Edwards was a sophomore, who would’ve been a freshman if not for enrolling in college a year early. Claire Timm and Lexi McDonald were also only sophomores, and shortstop Megan Bloodworth was a junior.
The biggest holes Gajewski has to fill are for Lexi Kilfoyl, Wang, Ivy Rosenberry and Jilyen Poullard. Adding a catcher who can hit and an All-American arm is a good start to filling those holes.
