Drive Recap: OSU 28, Baylor 38
The last drive for OSU included Ollie Gordon going down with an injury and ended with Alan Bowman sailing one into bread basket of Baylor DB LeVar Thornton Jr. The Cowboys have their timeouts but are down 10 with 1:45.
Drive Recap: OSU 28, Baylor 38
Oof. Dawson Pendergrass just broke the ultimate tackle and may have broken the Cowboys’ back. He twisted away from Pokes’ scrum and ran 55 yards for a touchdown. OSU back down 10 with three to go.
Drive Recap: OSU 28, Baylor 31
OSU’s drive saved by a fourth-down catch by Brennan Presley and then a Baylor PI near the end zone put the Pokes in scoring position. Gordon paid it off with his second score of the day and the Pokes are still in it. Then Gordon takes the handoff and side arms one to Presley who tips it to himself for a two-point conversion. Pokes down a field goal with 4:41 to go.
Drive Recap: OSU 20, Baylor 31
The Bears has its biggest lead of the game after yet another chunk yardage play. Sawyer Robertson broke loose for a 31-yard rushing score. The Pokes are down 11 with nine minutes to go. OSU is running out of time and toes to shoot off.
END OF Quarter 3 | Oklahoma State 20, Baylor 24
Despite seemingly running out of toes to shoot off, Pistol Pete remains in it on the road. The Cowboys start the final frame down 4, on the Baylor 47.
Drive Recap: OSU 20, BU 24
The Cowboys squander another red zone opportunity.
After some OSU had third-and-1 at the Baylor 2 but Bowman let the clock run out without calling a timeout. That 11th penalty cost OSU five yards. The subsequent was a loss of two and the Pokes had to settle for 3 instead of tying.
Drive Recap: OSU 17, BU 24
That last penalty burns even worse now. On the third play of the drive, Sawyer Robertson finds Ashtyn Hawkins for a 33-yard score.
Drive Recap: OSU 17, BU 17
This game is going in threes. That’s three-straight three-and-outs between the two, though the last possession by OSU almost went for a lot more.
A candidate for Play of the Game got washed out of reality thanks to another penalty. Alan Bowman brushed off a would-be tackler to find Cade Cabiness about 30 yards down the field. But it was rolled back with Cole Birmingham being flagged as an illegal man down field. That’s now the 10th penalty for OSU with still nine and a half left in the third.
HALFTIME |Oklahoma State 17, Baylor 17
Despite the tidy, dead-even score at intermission, this was a sloppy, penalty-filled, defensive brain-melting first half. But the Cowboys found a way to tie it up and they’ll get the ball to start the second half.
Drive Recap: OSU 17, BU 17
But the Pokes’ offense finally got back into gear. After being corrected by review, Ollie Gordon’s touchdown capped a 10-play, 64-yard drive to tie it up with 18 seconds left in the half.
Drive Recap: OSU 10, BU 17
After three-straight TD drives, the teams traded off three-straight punts (well at least two of them).
Drive Recap: OSU 10, BU 17
After some getting some early stops, the Cowboys’ defense has taken a couple shots to the chin, and it doesn’t help when you drop your guard.
OSU gave up another few chunk plays and then its eighth penalty, an offsides on third-and-1 at the 6.
Baylor has 151 yards to OSU’s 11 and is averaging 8.9 ypc to OSU’s 1.
Drive Recap: OSU 10, BU 10
Doing his best Tylan Wallace impersonation, Brennan Presley broke about 14 tackles and darted down the sideline for a 33-yard score.

The Bears paid these chunk plays off.
Baylor running back Dawson Pendergrass had consecutive runs of 48 and 39 yards before Robertson found Hal Presley for a 12-yard TD.
Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 3
OSU gives it right back. Ollie Gordon was threatening to score when the ball got punched out at the 3 and the Bears recovered.
End of Quart 1 | Oklahoma State 3, Baylor 3

Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 3
OSU’s defense comes up with a huge takeaway.
Sawyer Robertson was running for his life from Kendal Daniels which caused an interception by Kobe Hylton.
Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 3
This time the Cowboys couldn’t figure the explosive pass play and stall in the shadow of their own goalposts. Baylor takes over at the OSU 23 after Aden Kelly got flagged for unnecessary roughness on punt. That’s six flags for 46 yards already for OS. Baylor has none.
Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 3
The Bears tie it up after a 53-yard pass play is followed by settling for a FG.
Appears #okstate and Baylor came in with the exact same gameplan:
Complete one giant pass play per drive, then stumble in or near the red zone.
Both teams are executing this gameplan perfectly.

Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 0
Every drive of this game has a huge passing play and then a stumble in the red zone.
Drive Recap: OSU 3, BU 0
A squandered opportunity?
After getting backed up on third-and-17–in part due to a false start penalty–Alan Bowman found Da’Wain Lofton on a 56-yard play to the Baylor 11. Then the Cowboys stalled–thanks to an intentional ground flag and another false start penalty–and settled for 3.
Drive Recap: OSU 0, BU 0
The Bears included a 38-yard catch-and-run connection between Sawyer Robertson and Michael Trigg to get them down the field. But the Cowboys’ defense got a stop thanks to two big tackles by Kendal Daniels. OSU takes over at its own 40 thanks to a turnover on downs.
If the Cowboys would like to keep their nearly two-decade bowl streak alive, they’ll need to start winning some games. They have five chances to win three games. None may be as winnable (on paper) as Saturday’s road game at Baylor, and Oklahoma State is a nearly touchdown underdog. So, if the Cowboys are going to be able to right the ship at all in 2024, they need to figure something out this weekend.
Stick around as we bring you all the half-baked reactions, hot takes and updates from the Cowboys’ road matchup with the Bears.
