Report: Oklahoma State Guard Jamyron Keller to Enter Transfer Portal
Keller started 34 games as a Cowboy.
Steve Lutz has done a good job of landing backcourt talent via the transfer portal this offseason, but now he may be losing his most tenured guard.
Jamyron Keller is planning to enter the transfer portal, according to a report by Sam Kayser with 247HSHoops.
Keller signed with Oklahoma State as a four-star prospect out of Ellison High School (Texas) as part of Mike Boynton’s 2023 class. He made an immediate impact as a freshman, started eight of his 25 appearances, scoring 6.5 points per game to go along with two rebounds and 1.4 assists. He scored in double digits six times in his first year and had a career-high 22 points in his first career start in a win over BYU. He saw his impact rise even more after Bryce Thompson went down with injury.
Keller was one of just three returning Cowboys in the first year under Lutz. Under a brand-new staff and in a revamped roster, Keller averaged 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He appeared in 35 games as a sophomore, starting 26. He scored in double figures seven times as a sophomore, with OSU going 5-2 in those games.
Lutz has made a concerted effort to bring in perimeter talent this portal season with incoming transfers Kanye Clary (Mississippi State), Isaiah Coleman (Seton Hall), Anthony Roy (Green Bay) and Vyctorius Miller (LSU).
