Talan Scott’s official visit must’ve went well.

Scott announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Sunday evening, as his official visit weekend to Stillwater comes to a close. He’s a three-star tight end out of Arizona in the 2027 recruiting class who picked OSU over offers from SMU, Cal, Colorado, Stanford, Utah, Auburn and others.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Scott is the No. 849 recruit in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2027 class, which lists him as a Top 50 tight end in the class and a Top 20 player from Arizona.

He plays at American Leadership Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona. As a junior, he caught 45 passes for 468 yards and eight touchdowns. He also plays as out outside linebacker/edge rusher where he accumulated 44 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks as a junior. He also plays basketball.

OSU associate head coach/tight ends coach Drew Svoboda offered Scott in early March. In April, Scott mentioned his official visit to OSU being in June, but then earlier this week he announced he was moving it up. Just last week, Svoboda was out in Arizona visiting Scott. So, the Cowboys’ staff was after him and got him.

He’s the fourth pledge in Eric Morris’ 2027 recruiting class, joining quarterback Carson White (TX), wide receiver Cooper Hooker (OK) and safety Bryson Brown (OK). Recruiting news is likely to get rolling over the next few weeks as more visit weekends roll on.
