A Steal
The Ringer breaks down why Jawun landed in a potentially incredible situation.
Evans fell in the draft because he’s undersized (5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, albeit with a 6-foot-5 wingspan) and he struggles to finish at the rim, but there’s no better point guard in the NBA to learn how to minimize those weaknesses from than Chris Paul, assuming he stays in Los Angeles.
Eric Bledsoe went from a raw athlete to a finished product after spending two years in the CP3 Finishing School for Point Guards, and Evans could end up following in his footsteps. [The Ringer]
Let’s all cross our fingers that Jawun’s prof (CP3) stays in LA to teach him for a couple years.
Dynamic Duo
The OSU offense is forecasted as college football’s best and an uber-talented yet unexpected duo is the burning hot center of it.
In three of his four seasons here, the former Shippensburg (Pa.) University OC has produced top 10 offenses. Last year, Yurcich was nominated for the Broyles Award, assistant coach of the year.
“It never seems like it’s enough [points],” said Yurcich of the Big 12. “It’s the nature of the beast. It’s a way of life here. What’s different is [how hard it is] to get your backups in the game.
“You never feel like you’re up enough.”
Rudolph might have the most swagger of any Oklahoma State quarterback since his head coach, who forever will be the Big Eight’s career passing leader. [CBS Sports]
Years from now, when Yurcich is introducing the spread offense to the Big Ten as a head coach and Rudolph is dropping dimes in the NFL, we’ll remember the masterpiece they painted in the 2017 football season.

OSU and NCAA Notes
Pretty clever: Mizzou renting empty dorms for football games (how much would you pay to stay in Kerr-Drummond?)….So what do you call real Arkansas waterfalls?….Four Cowboy golfers made All-American….Lesser Gundy promoted to co-offensive coordinator (Co-coordinators, neither calls plays)
Next stop: the pros.
