A Short History of Oklahoma State Athletics in Emojis
After how much I enjoyed the great NBA emoji sketch from Thursday, I thought I would make one for OSU. It seemed like it would be an enjoyable exercise. It wasn’t. It was all-consuming. I couldn’t stop thinking about OSU players from yesteryear and which of the little digital pieces of art best represented them.
Amilian and I texted emojis back and forth last night for the better part of three hours. Many of these are his (he specifically wanted credit for Don Haskins, which was incredible, J.W. Walsh and Travis Ford. He specifically did not want credit for Marcus Smart but he gets it anyway).
Anyway, here’s a short history of Oklahoma State athletics in emojis.
Really this could have gone on forever. I already have angst over ones I surely missed that people will come up with. We just kept going and going and at some point my kids need to be reminded that they have a dad and that he still lives with them…
My favorites (or the ones I’m most proud of): Castleman, Eaton, Pierce, Tony, Hart Lee and JamesOn.
Shoot me any you thought of on Twitter @pistolsguy and I’ll RT them.
Hope you enjoy.
