Basketball Players Who Visited Oklahoma State This Weekend

Oklahoma State hosted a bevy of talented football prospects over the weekend for reasons ranging from official visits to junior day, and the same went for the hardwood (albeit in a much smaller number.)

Mike Boynton had three notable OSU hoops targets on hand Saturday to watch the Pokes down UT in dramatic fashion, most notably an OKC area point guard who is a top target for 2019.

If you’re an OKC native, chances are you’ve caught wind of what Putnam City West guard Rondel Walker has been cooking over the last year. The 6-foot-2 point guard in the Class of 2020 picked up an OSU offer last June and has been in consistent contact with the staff since.

Walker is one of six point guards who have offers from OSU in the 2020 class but likely the most realistic of the targets, and as of now, it’s his only Power 5 offer.

Another big name on hand was rising power forward/center prospect Cody Collinsworth out of Pilot Point, Texas, who recently garnered a TCU offer and has interest elsewhere including from Purdue.

Given OSU’s not yet landed a commitment for 2019, Boynton could follow suit with Jamie Dixon and get in the mix for the talented do-it-all big man who somehow is listed at just 180 pounds (!)

And finally, Del City guard Nathaniel Goodlow — a class of 2020 hoopster — topped the list of notable basketballers on campus Saturday.

Goodlow’s very much an unfinished product but at 6-foot-2 and a wealth of experience on the AAU circuit already, I really like his game and chances for OSU to ratchet up its interest. The fact that he’s a local kid certainly helps.
