A new-look Cowboy roster has its schedule.

The Big 12 released its basketball schedule on Tuesday. It’s the first and only season that will included Oklahoma, Texas, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF before OU and Texas leave for the SEC next season and Colorado, Arizona State, Arizona and Utah join from the Pac-12.

Games that stand out include a fun field at the Legends Classic in Brooklyn with the Cowboys starting things off with St. Bonaventure before playing either Auburn or Notre Dame in the second day.

The Cowboys also host a stacked Creighton team on Nov. 30 as part of the Big 12-Big East Battle, and OSU will play in Oklahoma City this year in a game against Tulsa at Paycom Center.

OSU has just one true road game in the nonconference — a Dec. 5 revenge game against Southern Illinois after the Salukis beat the Pokes in Gallagher-Iba Arena last season.

Big 12 play starts for OSU on Jan. 6 when the Baylor Bears come to town.

Oklahoma State hosts league power Kansas on Jan. 16.

In what could be Bedlam’s final season for a while, the world will get a home-and-home between the teams. The Cowboys will travel to Norman on Feb. 10 before hosting the Sooners on Feb. 24. The Cowboys have won seven of their past eight games against OU.

The Cowboys play Texas just once this season, a game in Austin on March 2.

The Pokes play five games against Big 12 newcomers, but that won’t start until their Feb. 6 trip to Houston. From there, OSU hosts BYU on Feb. 17, plays at Cincinnati on Feb. 21, hosts UCF on Feb. 28 and plays at BYU on March 9 to close out the regular season.

The Cowboys’ roster features only three returning scholarship players from last season’s squad: Bryce Thompson, John Michael Wright and Quion Williams. OSU coach Mike Boynton has brought in a quintet of freshmen, a class that ranked in the Top 10 nationally. The Cowboys also have four players in from the transfer portal.
