Class of 2023 Guard Jamyron Keller Commits to Oklahoma State

One of the risers from the AAU season is going to be a Cowboy.

Jamyron Keller, a 6-foot-1 guard in the 2023 class, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Sunday night. From Killeen, Texas, Keller chose Oklahoma State over offers from Kansas State, Xavier, SMU, Wichita State and others. He is the No. 159 player in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. ESPN lists Keller as a four-star recruit, while 247Sports and Rivals list him as a three-star prospect.

“The coaching staff was really transparent throughout the whole process,” Keller told PFB. “The campus-feel, the players, the opportunity there for me, the conference — it was kind of like utopia when I went. Everything felt good and felt like I had a purpose there. So, it was a really easy decision.”

Oklahoma State offered Keller in mid-June, and he took an official visit to Stillwater shortly after.

Keller’s stock started rising this summer with Drive Nation on Nike’s EYBL circuit. In EYBL events, Keller averaged 12.3 points, four rebounds and 3.5 assists in about 25 minutes a game while shooting 51% from the field and 34% from 3. Drive Nation won the Peach Invitational Tournament with Keller averaging 15.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and four assists a game that week. Keller told PFB it was at that tournament that he decided Oklahoma State was his choice and when he silently committed to the Cowboys with an OSU coach at all of his games.

Keller has a strong frame (linebacker playing football-esque), and he does a little bit of everything. There were games on the EYBL circuit that he would score in the 20s, and others where more of his focus was on ball distribution and he’d have six assists. His strength also allows him to rebound well for his size. In one game at the Peach Invitational, Keller had eight rebounds in 24 minutes on the floor.

“I’m just gonna fill in what the team needs — whether it be a point guard, whether I have to go get one off the dribble, I have to facilitate,” Keller told PFB. “I feel like I’m gonna be that missing piece.”

Keller joins Del City big man Brandon Garrison in Oklahoma State’s 2023 class. The two-man haul moves Oklahoma State up to No. 12 in the national rankings and fourth in the Big 12.
