College GameDay Crew Picks West Virginia, CJ Stroud Picks Pokes
CJ Stroud knows ball.
The Cowboy faithful is riding with another OSU quarterback.
CJ Stroud, former Ohio State quarterback and current Houston Texans quarterback, was the only person on this morning’s College GameDay panel to pick Oklahoma State in the Cowboys’ 2:30 p.m. kick against West Virginia.
Desmond Howard started the discussion, saying Pat McAfee — a former WVU kicker — has done a good job of hyping up the Mountaineers this season. McAfee quickly followed by backing up his alma mater.
Then came Stroud, the guess picker in his old college town. Stroud pointed to the Mountaineers’ loss at Houston last week before heaping praise on WVU quarterback Garrett Greene. Lee Corso abruptly told Stroud he was wrong for picking the Pokes.
Lastly, Kirk Herbstreit said the Mountaineers have had time to get over their Hail Mary loss to the Cougars before adding that homefield advantage will make a difference for WVU.
