Contribute to Pistols Firing

[USATSI]
Written by Kyle Porter

We have been talking it for quite a while now, and the time is finally here. You have supported Pistols Firing for over a half decade with your time (over 1 million hours spent on the site!), and now you can support us financially.

There are the four ways you can contribute to PFB on a monthly basis as we grow into the future (you can click on those buttons below). I wrote about why in the world anyone would support something that is already free here. I also wrote about how we’re going to use this money here.

We want to say thank you for reading, following along and growing with us over the last six years. Any monthly or yearly contribution you sign up for is beneficial as it:

  • Helps keep PFB free for the foreseeable future
  • Goes toward building a better site with more robust coverage of OSU athletics
  • Pays it forward to those in college or those who can’t afford to support
Contribution Levels

We do plan on giving back in some manner to those of you who contribute to us which is the reason for segmenting our contribution levels. If you don’t want to contribute monthly, we have a yearly option for $100 also (please note that this also renews annually unless you cancel).

Already signed up to contribute and just looking to sign in to your account? Sign in to your account here. You can cancel or change your monthly support level as well as update your password by signing into your account.

Your email address will not be distributed to anyone when you sign up. The only thing you will receive from us is a monthly receipt for your contribution as well as maybe the occasional surprise via email. All payments are by credit card through Memberful with Stripe as the payment processor.

If you have any questions at all please email us at pistolsfiringblog [at] gmail [dot] com. Thank you as always for supporting Pistols Firing.

If it weren’t for the Byle Koone fellow I may would just give you my savings account. His writing causes all my senses to shriek in embarrassment.

    • CaptainObvious

He has been getting better, but we will see how it goes this football season. Still has a ways to go, but I did see him actually take some criticism on a post a while a back instead of his usual response of just blowing off any criticism with “hardy har har you r a troll haha”.

    • DCPoke

The issue with Boone is that he can not take any criticism. My problem with him is that he only looks at Oklahoma State athletics with short memory never realizes what the past was like. I swear the guy had to have started watching Oklahoma State athletics in 2011.

      • Nate

This is where I tell you he never attended a class in Stillwater. It shows.
He’s always done a good job with recruiting, but any other piece severely lacks any deep understanding of OSU athletics that long time readers of this site have come to expect.

But does that keep you from contributing to a site that consistently provides you with interesting, relevant content about your team? Maybe provide actual feedback and enhance the situation instead of just ripping someone a new one.

Excellent writing, team. Look forward to seeing it grow!

Agreed. I am just glad to have a site that posts good info on my favorite team on a daily basis. Wasn’t that long ago that we had nothing.

    • Lance Perdue

      I like Kyle Boone’s contributions.

      • David Einstein

Same. He’s always added great coverage in my opinion.

    • Kyle Boone

I would be glad to hear your feedback about how I can improve as a writer. Feel free to reach out to me offline @ [email protected]

      • Kenny Bir

I’d be happy to write with you ????

  • @below_the_cheddar_curtain

Happily contributing. The growth of the site and content has been outstanding on a shoestring budget. Looking forward to the next chapter. My daily stop for OSU converge from a fan in Big 10 land.

  • Mason

Do you get a sticker or something for contributing

  • Help!

Where do I link my POSSE account for points?

    • David Einstein

      This.

  • Colin A Bishe

glad to support. thanks for the years of free #content and glad to help out to keep things moving along in the future

    to quote Shea Serrano again,
“it ain’t complicated: if someone or some people make dope sh*t you enjoy then give them some money every so often so they can keep doing it”

    • David Einstein

      Shea! Great quote drop.

  • Kenny Bir

Making my small contribution. Hope for more coverage in the future.

  • Doug

I’m in! Thanks for the good work.

  • Tyler

Would interested to see how many contributes and subscribers PFB is up to. Would it be possible to get those numbers on the home page?

  • Matthew Spencer

Is there a difference in content with contribution levels? Do you get more for spending more?
