The single most dominant quality of Cowboy Football under Mike Gundy has been an unstoppable connection between QB and receiver. You could go down the line starting with Rashaun Woods through the years with guys like Adarius Bowman, D’Juan Woods, Dez Bryant, Justin Blackmon, James Washington and now Tylan Wallace.

As a new day dawns on what could be a dynamic connection, visions of prominence dance in our heads as a talented quarterback and receiver start to blossom on the horizon.

I don’t know that you’ll find a competitor that enjoys less opportunity to improve the offense more than Mason Rudolph did as a result of Gundy’s Two-Quarterback method. With that being said, being able to shoestring a running attack with that system may be one of the best coaching jobs done by Mike Gundy.

Most Read Article (No. 3): Four-Star Guard Chris Harris, Jr. Commits to the Pokes

This was the most interesting story to me of the week – Mike Boynton landed a four-star guard from under the noses of the 2019 silver medalists. Harris, Jr.’s effortless game and prolific shot will be a great fit in the Cowboy offense and it’s hard to imagine how good this next class will be.

Thank goodness for Kyle Boone. After listening to the most recent “Reload” podcast, he explained the tweet and its emojis as “let’s get past the noise and let’s get to work.” After flirting with consideration for another gig and signing a blue-chip talent, Boynton is racking up some capital with his fan base.

Most Read Article (No. 5): Mike Boynton a Candidate at St. John’s

This was nearly the perfect storm for Boynton to be a candidate: coming off a terrible season, an opening back home with lower prestige job, and the promise of security.

• This hype around Chuba Hubbard is real – (I assume) Spencer Sanders will be surrounded by some serious talent this fall.

• NCAA Council adjusting some transfer rules in player-friendly ways

• Really good Thunder/Blazers talk in the first 30 minutes of this pod – Lowe is easily my favorite voice on the NBA

• This Challies’ post on knowing Jesus was fantastic (faith-based)

• It won’t cheer you up if you’re having a bad day but five lies the culture tells (from the NYT) had some good thoughts in it
