Today’s Bullets

• Finally got around to reading my guy Ian Boyd on Mike Gundy and OSU’s 2020 team, and it was excellent. It’s always fun to get an outsider’s opinion on Gundy, OSU and its chances in the Big 12 (and nationally).

• Kyle Cox broke down all the UDFAs, including AJ Green, who ended up in — gulp — Cleveland. Why does everyone from OU go to Dallas but everyone from OSU ends up with the worst franchise in sports history?

• Mike Gundy spoke up about the re-opening of the state on Twitter on Saturday (things are moving quickly, by the way). I see plenty of folks chirping at us about the May 1 date. When we wrote what we wrote, it wasn’t about the date. It was about posture, pride and purpose … but it wasn’t about May 1.

• By the way! I do think we’re going to have football this fall. I’ve been a little on the fence about it, but as of April 26 I do think it’s going to happen. I think something like this right now is the most likely scenario.

• Wait, what’s the deal with Justice Hill in Baltimore?

• This from Robert Allen was a tasty little morsel. Would pay some dollars to know who the one Big 12 coach was.

Also, Pokes Report has learned that the head football coaches in the Big 12 had a meeting conducted remotely on Friday. The Big 12 has been staging meetings like this with coaches of various sports, athletic directors and administration as well as school presidents. Our sources informed us that the football coaches were very positive about playing their season, in some form, during the fall. In fact, all Big 12 head football coaches favored that with one exception. [Pokes Report]

• I enjoyed this take from Berry Tramel on the remote NFL Draft.

• I tossed out the “Tylan in 2021” question, and Adam Lunt and Dustin Ragusa had some fascinating thoughts on his NFL Draft status.

• Here’s one for the “see, three-star guys are just as good as the rest and maybe even better!” crowd.

• Tulsa had two guys drafted.

• Austin Eckroat is an All-American.

• If you haven’t gotten involved in the Chamber, come on over. It’s been a blast (and is free to sign up!)

What I’m Reading (Watching)

• Finished book No. 1 of the Mysterious Benedict Society with my oldest kids. Onto the second one. They’ve both been awesome so far.

• I’m still grinding through Ezra Klein’s Why We’re Polarized (great) and also in the middle of A Horse and His Boy (classic).

• As a family, we’ve been killing some Great British Baking Show episodes.
