World’s Most Interesting Man
So maybe not, but Gundy was recently named college football’s intriguing coach.
1. Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State
The mullet-haired rattlesnake hunter is all man, and now nearly 50. A decade removed from one of the most memorable rants in college football history, Gundy has improbably become the face of the transitioning Big 12 conference and might have his best team in 13 seasons on the job in Stillwater. Jim Harbaugh uses more schtick than an SNL-cast and there’s never been a more LSU-appropriate coach than Ed Orgeron, yet the coach at Oklahoma State garners more attention.

The Cowboys are widely considered a dark horse but get your spot on Cowboy Island while you can.
If Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan or Florida State had this much firepower, they would be the consensus No. 1 team in the country. QB Mason Rudolph is a pro passer and will be throwing to best receiving corps in the nation. James Washington, Jalen McCleskey, Marcell Ateman and Tyron Johnson are all studs. Add in running back Justice Hill and it may take a small army to slow Oklahoma St down offensively. [SaturdayBlitz]
The blue blood comment is sort of deceiving – if the big dogs had this firepower, they’d be pairing with highly recruited trench players.
