• One thing OSU lacked last fall was star power… anywhere. CBS Sports rated all three members of the North Texas’ offensive trio in their top-100 players – overhauling one of FBS’ worst defenses will impact the win total, but bringing this trio alone is reason to believe the team will get back to .500… minimum. • As much fun as it would have been to see Jim Knowles come to Stillwater with Eric Morris’ offense (and bring his Penn State edge rusher with him) – Skylar Cassity and his crew inspire confidence based on what they did last year at North Texas.
Simply put, Cassity fielded enough drive-killers for North Texas to get by last year, and his first haul in Year 1 in Stillwater is a damn good start at replicating those takeaways in what’ll be a crash course for Oklahoma State’s defense this spring. [HCS]
