• This anonymous quote on Mike Holder provides invaluable context – if you ever wonder if his successes outweigh the struggles, this is ultimately what you want from an AD:
Ten months ago, an OSU source provided a classic quote: “When he identifies a potential donor, and when he decides that it’s a relationship and a donation that OSU really needs, Mike Holder is like a rat on a Cheeto.”
Oklahoma State and Holder have been married since 1966, when he arrived as a freshman. He never left. [TulsaWorld]
• Matthew Wolff finished three back at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, continuing to play well beyond his years. he darn near accomplished (what would have been) this incredible feat:
With a win today, @matthew_wolff5 would become the youngest 2-time winner on the @PGATOUR since Tiger Woods.
Would be 3 months younger than Sergio, 5 months younger than Spieth when they won their 2nd.

• These things that Pistol Pete used to do on the sideline are incredible:
Things @OSUPistolPete used to do. 1. Ride a bike 2. Kick off 3. Lasso tricks 4. Steal rival cheerleaders #okstate #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/JVHgDoIZ5i

• Le’Bryan Nash lit up the building Saturday afternoon at TBT.
Nash scored the (Stillwater) Stars’ first seven points and finished with a game-high 30 on only 18 shots. After the first few minutes, it felt as if Nash would finish this tournament in Ohio and maybe head down to Florida to finish the NBA season.
He was clearly the Stars’ star. [PFB]
I’m genuinely still in disbelief that a team with Nash as your third star didn’t make a deep run. Stevie Clark had shades of James’on that year, Kamari Murphy and Phil Forte were productive college players.
T-Ford had all the parts to a Corvette shipped to Gallagher-Iba but could never fit them together.
• The impact sports (particularly football) have on a college town is beyond significant. This piece on the impact on Stillwater and Norman was good.
• Best (football) teams OSU hasn’t played yet:
Tradition/destination – USC, Notre Dame, Penn State
Fun college towns with quality football – Wisconsin, Auburn, Clemson
Just a fun trip – Georgia Tech, NC State, UNC
Of the schools they've never played, who would you like to see #OKState ? face in the future? @CowboyFB

• These comments (some faith-based) mirrored some of my sentiments about today’s discourse
