Big Uglies
Take a quick look at the specs on the future offensive line Josh Henson is assembling.
At left tackle was Tuttle’s Hunter Anthony (6-6 ¼, 338 pounds), at left guard was Bixby’s Bryce Bray (6-5, 303 pounds), the center was Cy-Ridge standout Tyrese Williams (6-2 ½, 290 pounds), and at right guard from Illinois was Hunter Woodard (6-5, 277 pounds).
All four of the players that are early commitments to Oklahoma State in their 2018 recruiting class were picked out by new Cowboys offensive line coach Josh Henson. [GoPokes-$]
… and all four are about to be seniors in high school.
Smart Defying Odds
Marcus Smart, a non-three point shooting point guard, doesn’t fit today’s NBA (offensive) norms but isn’t somebody you want to leave home without.
Smart became a bit of a defensive blue print for the Celtics. They continue to look for player that can guard multiple positions, and that is the biggest strength of the defense to this day. Smart, however, continues to bring it to another level.
Guards cannot blow by him and bigs cannot push him around, you better believe that he will be more aggressive and more confident, and he swallows up most players that try to go at him. Defense alone ensures that the Celtics have absolutely no regrets with Smart, and will keep him as a main part of their future plans. [Fansided]
Smart can create off the dribble, run an offense (decently) and play a whole lot of defense.
