Pro Potential

Mason and James Washington go between 11 and 20 in a recent mock.

11. Buffalo Bills
James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State: The Bills didn’t pick up Sammy Watkins’ fifth-year option and Washington is a bona fide deep threat; he has 124 catches of at least 20 yards during his last two college seasons.

16. Washington Redskins
Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State: Is Kick Cousins staying? Is he going? The Redskins cover their bases by drafting Rudolph, who has 55 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in college. [CBS Sports]

You don’t love Washington-to-Buffalo with no solid quarterback play there since Jim Kelly. The Bills are supposedly after another deep threat, so seeing Washington against the second cornerback could be fun.

Mason to Washington isn’t terrible. There has to be some semblance of a team there for them to be picking at 16 and he’d play in Dallas every year.

Proud Souls

The culture Josh Holliday has established in Stillwater is really impressive.

“It sucks, but I can hold my head up high,” Sluder said. “We could have quit before we went to face OU and we decided to fight. I feel like the one thing we as a group — me, (Trey) Cobb, Buff — said we wanted to leave this place better than we found it and I think, ultimately, we’ve done that.” [TulsaWorld]

There’s some hard work in recruiting but Holliday and Walton have guys delaying pro careers to play for each other and the orange and black. Can’t imagine what that guy could do with his own Boone Pickens Stadium.

OSU and NCAA Notes

The new mouthpiece for the Big 12 exec committee was announced and he’s just as likely to share his thoughts as David Boren was.
