OSU Bullets
• The shorthanded Cowboys fought back from a ten-point deficit at halftime to beat Davidson in the first round of the NIT – the Pokes will face Wichita State in the second round, giving the Shockers a shot at revenge after losing to the Pokes in the NIT last year (PFB + OKState.com)
• A few score updates: Cowboy Baseball got back to winning last night, taking out South Dakota State 7-6, and Cowboy Hockey lost in the national championship game, 3-2 to Florida Gulf Coast (OKState.com + X)
• No idea if this is typical, but a fascinating move here from Eric Morris, who appears to be an offensive genius:
The OSU coach understands the importance of being tested on offense during scrimmage situations. That’s why he’s given defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity an open playbook from day one to show multiple looks against the offense. [TulsaWorld]
• Six (!) Cowboy freshmen will be wrestling in the NCAA Championships this week (PFB)
• Nolan McLean saw two runs come in, but had some good moments in the World Baseball Classic finals last night. Profile on the former Cowboy pre-game here.
