Pro Day with a Pro Poke
Mason Rudolph roomed with Cowboy legend Zac Robinson during the draft prep process, with Robinson’s mentoring culminating with a successful pro day last Thursday.
Robinson was excited by his roommate’s performance on Pro Day.
“The summer before his sophomore year, we started doing stuff together, and it ramped up from there,” Robinson said. “We’ve always had in mind doing Pro Day prep and combine prep, and it all came together.
“He had a great day. He was operating from the pocket, making every type of throw, whether it was up the seams or out toward the perimeter. The ball was coming out of his hand great, so it was a lot of fun to see.” [NewsOK]
Rudolph’s stock hasn’t fluctuated too much through the process but Robinson’s tutelage has surely been an asset.

Replacing Rudolph
A Rivals insider gave his take on the 2018 quarterback derby in Stillwater.
Replacing Mason Rudolph is quite the challenge but there are some good fits to choose from. Incoming freshman (Spencer) Sanders has the best upside, but he’s not ready for prime time yet. (Dru) Brown was brought in to play early. Only Sanders was heavily recruited out of high school. [Rivals]
If it were a horse race, it seems like Dru Brown is the favorite but plenty of money is on Spencer Sanders.

This feels like what the floor of BoyntonBall could be if all goes well.
Playing very slow, playing great D, and sucking on offense has taken two double-digit seed Syracuse teams on improbable NCAA tournament runs in the last 3 years.
But remember: UVA has no chance of ever finding NCAA tourney success unless they drastically change their system.

Beyond their years, loved this Saturday night.
I really enjoyed watching Houston’s Corey Davis compete. And then he suffered this.
Man.
But then a classy move from Mo Wagner.

This felt like watching SEC football – missed three-point field goals included.

Tie ball in Stillwater.
Due to weather and travel curfew, today's game officially ends in a tie, the first for #okstate since 1985 and fifth in program history. pic.twitter.com/r9xUkFqKNf

Baylor out.
Buzzer beater and heartbreak NIT version: Mississippi State beats Baylor 78-77 with a 3 by Weatherspoon as time expires.
