OSU Bullets

• The Cowboys’ hammered the Sooners 13-2 in game one of the Bedlam series in Norman – in related news, Texas took down West Virginia in game one as well, pulling the Pokes within a game of the league lead

• The Cowgirls open up regional play today at 3pm CST against UMBC, the game is televised on ESPN+ (OKState.com)

• This is pretty wild – OSU’s secret weapon: one of the only strength coaches dedicated exclusively to softball in the country – plus all the perks that come with that (TulsaWorld)

• Viktor Hovland is in shooting distance, tied for sixth through day one at the PGA Championship (PGA.com)

• After how well last night went, it sure seems like this comment won’t come into play – if OSU takes at least two of three from OU, hosting a regional feels like it’s in play:

Should OSU drop two of three to its in-state rival in Norman this weekend, not only would its RPI significantly diminish, but so would its hosting chances. If that were to transpire, the Cowboys would likely need to win the Big 12 Tournament to host a regional.
