Glenn Defenders

BEFORE the game yesterday, an article was released about Gundy’s stance towards Glenn Spencer’s defense.

“We’re gunslingers,” Gundy said. “We’re not scared. We’re going to throw it deep. We’re going to play fast. And slowly but surely we’re building a defense that can play with our team. And it’s going to get better and better and better. We’re not going to change who we are.”

And then five days later, on a cold field in Ames, Iowa, the Cowboys gave up 42 points and 30 first downs. At least this time, OSU won, beating Iowa State 49-42. [NewsOK]

I’d be curious to hear his thoughts after watching the nation’s 93rd best offense control the day.

Jawun Paul

Regardless of the source, some LA Clipper fans think pretty highly of Jawun Evans.

As a pass-first point guard, Evans is more set on distributing and creating scores than scoring on his own. In that sense, it’s easy to say that Evans is similar to former Clipper and future Hall of Fame point guard, Chris Paul. If you think the similarities between the two stop there though, just listen.

The two both stand at 6’0″, and weigh in under 200 pounds. Their scouting reports are eerily similar, almost indistinguishable. It’s scary. Both are praised for their vision, use of size, deceiving strength, among countless other things. They have similar weaknesses as well, mainly revolving around size and guarding bigger players. That finishing is rather CP like.

OSU and NCAA Notes

Post-game Q&A with Glenn Spencer….Why a classless Mayfield will win the Heisman – “His receivers have more touchdown grabs than he has crotch grabs. I think”….The NCAA tourney selection committee is changing a bit on how they look at teams….Could Mason Rudolph succeed Carson Palmer in Arizona?

The kind of creativity you like to see in a rivalry game.

I love that this KU fan had multiple signs prepared.

Oklahoma State fandom is hard, Tech would be harder.

Congrats to the Cowgirl Cross Country team!

The bright side of sports.

Where to want to be if emotionally possible.

Hard to imagine how most of us would have responded to this scene at 22.
