Seahawk Workhorse

Chris Carson in Seattle has been an incredible story. Not only is he the starter in Seattle but they’re counting on him to stir the offense.

Going forward, Seattle still has plenty of ways to take a defibrillator to a flatlining offense. Whether it’s the marginal improvement of a bad offensive line that helps spring running back Chris Carson a few more times a game and gives Wilson an additional half-beat to throw on a handful of more dropbacks, or a bolder strategy to move to a no-huddle hurry-up offense, the Seahawks haven’t exhausted all of their avenues for improvement. Gameday Folly

Heartland College Sports highlighted the nonsense that is College Gameday going to Times Square instead of Cowboys-Frogs.

Oklahoma State vs. TCU has a chance to be one of the best games in the Big 12 this season and, potentially, one of the best games in college football. It also featured two of the more colorful coaches in the conference and the country in Mike Gundy and Gary Patterson.

Instead, we will get Rece Davis and company surrounded by a bunch of tourists who will be wondering what exactly they are watching and why the other people on set keep calling Mel Brooks, “Lee Corso“.

This isn’t New Years’ Eve, it’s college football Saturday in September. Unless they’ve already booked their ticket to Stillwater for Bedlam – seemingly more likely with LSU laying an egg against Mississippi State, in turn lessening Bama-LSU hype – Stillwater or any other college town seems better.
