Right on Track
Some teams like Washington and South Florida didn’t exactly win impressively in week one – nor did they help their best players’ Heisman chances. Not the case in Stillwater.
No offense looked any more explosive than the Cowboys did in Week 1 as they put 59 points on a Tulsa team that won 10 games last year. The 6’5″, 225-pound senior went 20-of-24 for 303 yards, three TDs through the air and a fourth on the ground. [Sports Illustrated]
Bruce Feldman at SI has Rudolph at third in his rankings after week one.
Unstoppable
Let’s call it what it is, the offense Thursday was pretty unreal.
First, a disclaimer: Tulsa was never going to put up much of a fight against the Cowboys. Still, the ease with which Mason Rudolph, Justice Hill, James Washington and Co. were able to move the ball and score at will on Thursday night was remarkable. [SportsNaut]
Just the ease with which the machine hummed – it was like touchdowns were just a button push away.
OSU and NCAA Notes
Cowboys are No. 2 in ESPN’s Big 12 power rankings….USAToday has a misery index for CFB programs (the real but irrational message board comments are great)….Short breakdown of Rudolph’s game against Tulsa….Pretty good video of sad college football fans from week one
South Alabama whiting out the stadium for Friday night – we’re probably lucky that’s not a Saturday afternoon game with a glare off the Gulf.

Gundy’s mullet does make him look like a hondo stuck in the 80’s – but it’s incredible.
But first he'd like to talk a little about the new roll stripe kit he just bought for his Z28. https://t.co/jFkKUilvAI

With former coaches at Texas A&M (Sumlin), Texas (Herman) and formerly at Baylor (Briles), this is genius.
