Daniel Cormier Named ESPN’s 2018 Fighter of the Year
Cormier had an excellent 2018 season
ESPN has named former Oklahoma State wrestler and current UFCÂ light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier the 2018 Fighter of the Year.
The award was voted on by by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Chamatkar Sandhu, Phil Murphy, Greg Rosenstein, Andrew Feldman and Jeff Wagenheim.

Cormier is also the No. 1 pound for pound fighter in the world according to the UFC, and with this incredible year, he has cemented himself as one of the greatest fighters of all time.
In a recent interview with Flowrestling, while coaching up his high school wrestling team, he indicated his next fight would likely be in March vs. Brock Lesnar for the UFC heavyweight title.
